For those of you who have noticed, the 'Postings Page' is back up and running in the right year again. It was completely my fault. We ran out of disc space on the server and I didn't see it coming. Also for those of you who have had problems with the 'Buddy Finder' page, (link on 'Home Page'), it is up and running.
I'll try to keep a closer eye on the web site, and again I am sorry I was napping on the job. Thanks for the support, JD

Dan Pierelli I remember you. You and I talked after to determine how many of the 'bad guys' were killed at LZ Kate. I was running around like crazy for the last few days on the LZ. I was hit in the arm with some scrap metal while you, some Montagnards and I were firing down the 'steep' side of LZ Kate inbetween the gun ship passes. Remember the 750 lb bomb that was suppose to hit some people down in the valley?? Glad to see you made it back. kennh@cox.net

William 'Bill' Reid. Dude you brought up some memories when you mentioned some name of the guys that were in the Battery: John Schmidt from NJ, Rufus Spinks and Jim Smith from Ms, and "Pancho" Villeria. I have not thought of those guys since I left Vietnam. Ah the memories. I was also on the Gun that was sent to FB6 and BenHet.

Pat Weir I remember a Cool Breeze..is that you? Saw that you had contacted the Key family. I was with Hulus Key when I first went in country. First at LZ Swinger and later at FB6. Stayed with Key until he went back to base camp to start processing out. When he got back to camp he was sent out on a load of ammo which got blown up. I was with C BAttery gun crew that replaced the B Battery crew when their gun was blown up. I'm looking for Tom Stockton and John Schmidt from NJ, Rufus Spinks and Jim Smith from Ms, and "Pancho" Villeria. I'm originally from Murphy NC. Recently moved to Benton, TN. I was with 1-92 Artillery on the 155. Was in country from Mar 69 to Mar 70.

I just found this site and was fascinated by the stories. I commanded B/1/92 from August 1967 to February 1968. I would like to hear from anyone in the battery at that time (jdoherty3@cinci.rr.com). I would appreciate any information on how to contact Henry Hickman, my exec; Charlie Allen, my FDO; Earnest Wilson, battery first sergeant and Richard Branch, chief of smoke.

We were contacted by Brother John "Rufus" Conley, who wanted to remind us all to remember in our prayers the Vets from the Gulf War. One such Vet John Rios is having complications from the Gulf War and so are a few others that were hired on where John works. Thank you for the prayers.

I was with the 299th CBT engrs in Dak To, from Jan 69 thru Aug of 70.I was in Ben Het in Feb thru April 69 ( Tank Battle March 3rd.) & in Dak To for the Siege. I have been trying to make contact with you Brave Cannons to ask if you might be interested in Joining us ,the 299th Engrs in St .Louis, , MO. the last week of July 2007. The theme is Reunion for the Dak To FIREBASE. We are getting in touch with the 69th Armor & other units who served in Dak To, Ben Het. You guys were there with us & sure as hell kept the NVA off our asses. I will always remember your counter battery fire ,in both Ben Het & Dak To. Our brotherhood 299th Engrs are not new to reunions We have a get together every year all over the country. The last one was in Reno, NV July 27th thru 30 ,this last July ,2006. We have a very family oriented get together & usually have about 100 guys show up. I would appreciate a reply & if you guys might be interested in representing the 1st of the 92nd Brave Cannons. Thanks Jay

Nice report Bo. That is a remarkable story. Are there any other "Brave Cannons" of the Vietnam War era still on active duty?
