We will spend one full day on the "grand walking tour", i.e, the Vietnam Wall, the Lincoln memorial, the Korean war memorial, the new WW II memorial and back along the mall to the Vietnam Wall.

Monday, November 1st, PM: Arrival in the afternoon/evening at the hotel in Gaithersburg, MD, about 25 miles north of downtown Washington DC. Get-together for a social evening at the Cahn's (about 10 minutes from the hotel), burgers and hotdogs on the deck in the back yard if the weather is OK. Pick up reunion baseball caps/Tee shirts.

Tuesday, November 2nd, mid-morning to mid afternoon: The "big walk", i.e., travel to DC, then visit the Vietnam Wall. Then walk to the Lincoln Memorial, then off to the Korean memorial, then the trek along the National Mall to the new WW II memorial. Then back to the Wall. This is a beautiful circle around the historical mall, well worth-while.

Wednesday, November 3rd, daytime. Tram ride around DC, the touristy thing to do. This will involve getting off at certain stops such as Arlington Cemetary. More details to follow if a personal tour at the cemetary is available for us. Evening, arranging for a cookout at the Isaac Walton League for the Association Bussiness dinner. League members may be able to host the cookout here as a small fundraiser for them, but it will still be cheap eats. I will also make arrangements for some limited use of the pistol range. Also looking to arrange for a Washington Speaker.

Thursday, November 4th. Working on either a tour of the Capitol Building or the White House. Details to follow.

Friday, November 5th. Working on a private tour of the Pentagon, more to follow.

Your suggestions for other activities are invited and encouraged. There is obviously enough to do in DC to occupy you for months, such as the FBI building, Ford's theatre, the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memororial, the Supreme Court, the National Archives, the Smithsonian museums, Air and Space, and on and on. We will build a good deal of open time in to the schedule so you can make sure you get to see the landmarks and attractions that are important to you. Please keep in touch and help me tailor this event to meet all of our needs.
